Butte Independent Living
Foster children face a difficult transition into adult life. We work with county placement agencies; foster parents, and other professionals by providing resources and opportunities.
We have structured our program to provide personal support as a main function including the following:
Return to Foster Care – JV 466 Request to Return to Juvenile Juris.
Life and employment skills training
Experiential groups
Health and safety
Banking and consumer purchasing
Community resource knowledge
Assistance with college application, registration and financial aid
Group Learning Opportunities and Social Events

Who is Eligible for Butte County Independent Living Program (ILP)?
Current or former foster children
16 – 21 years of age
Referred by County Social Worker or Probation Officer
Voluntary participation
After Care Services for Emancipated Youth
One on one services via After-care Specialist
